The player of the game after the Suns 102-98 victory over the Kings was a pretty easy one to pick: Jon Leuer had a team-high 17 points and 13 rebounds in just 19 minutes off the bench and the play/poster of the night when he threw down a dunk on DeMarcus Cousins.
“I haven’t seen that since I’ve been here. It was aggressive,” Chandler said of the dunk. “I was surprised he was able to do that.”
New teammate Chandler wasn’t the only surprised one. After the game Leuer had a few more than usual reporters at his locker asking about the dunk.
“I saw DeMarcus coming and I just tried to go up as hard as I could because I know he’s a big guy and a good athlete,” Leuer said. “Just fortunate I came out on the right end of it.”
Leuer was also asked if it was his best dunk and he said it was up there. I’m sure this will probably go down as the most remembered dunk by him but this high school dunk was nastier.
