Memphis’ Jon Leuer scored a season high 20 points to go with a career-high 12 rebounds in 24 minutes against the Miami Heat on Sunday.
“He played out of his mind,” said Memphis guard Courtney Lee who gave Leur the assist on his double pump dunk. “That’s the Jon Leuer we see every day in practice being athletic, getting up and down the floor and stretching the floor. Once he hit his first shot, his confidence was through the roof.”
“It’s just a matter of seeing the ball go in a couple of times,” Leuer said. “Just focusing on doing all the little things. When you focus on playing the right way and making good decisions, playing hard, shots tend to fall.”
I think the reason why Leuer played so great was because he knew Justin Timberlake was at the game – and filming.
