Recent changes within the Nike World Headquarters and Jordan brand are being made. Longtime Nike designer Ken Link has been named the new Jordan Brand Design Director. As the the new director for Jordan brand, Link will set seasonal initiatives and frame the design language of the brand’s performance footwear. The new title and position shouldn’t fret Mr. Link too much. His resume is quite impressive, so I’m pretty sure the guy will be just fine.
Having already worked with the likes of Lebron & Kobe. Specifically the Kobe 1 & 2’s, the LeBron 2-6’s and the first three Zoom Soldier models. Link has already dipped his skills and knowledge into the basketball realm. Although it doesn’t stop there. Ken Link also crafted the Zoom Revis, Alpha Talon, Zoom Vapor Untouchable, Lunar Trout, and many more cleated products.
It looks as if Jumpman selected the right candidate for the job. Considering the fact that Jumpman will not expand into the gridiron field by endorsing the University of Michigan as the first football program under the Jumpman label.
Expect a new aspect of Jordan Brand products to be hitting the shelves in the near future.
