I hate to take a break from Bargnani bashing to bash one of my favorite players in the league but JR Smith might have just earned himself a spot on the next episode of Shaqtin’ a Fool with this Bargnani moment.
With the game tied at 100 a piece between the Rockets and Knicks, Tyson Chandler grabbed an offensive board with 23 seconds left in the game and threw the ball out to the perimeter which ended up in the hands of JR Smith. Thinking the Knicks were down by 2, Smith attempted a 3 pointer with 21 seconds left on the clock. The shot was missed and Aaron Brooks ended up making 2 free throws to give the Rockets a 2 point victory.
Smith was wide-open so the question is, if he would have made the shot, would we still consider it a “bad shot?”
