“I take the blame for this whole series. … I haven’t been playing myself. I haven’t been playing my part. I’ve been letting my teammates down. I’ve been letting my coaches down.”

JR Smith has been playing with an illness but he just hasn’t been the same since his suspension for elbowing Jason Terry in the face in the Boston series.  He’s shooting 28 percent from the floor connecting on only 18 of 64 shots against the Pacers that now have a 3-1 lead in the series.

Only 8 teams in NBA history have come back from a 3-1 deficit and with all of the finger pointing and internal drama going on with the Knicks, it looks unlikely they will become #9.  With that said, I will be channeling Spike Lee for the next game and rooting for Smith and the Knicks.
