Lost in all the hoopla around Kobe Bryant was some of the decent plays and performances by his teammates during Sunday’s loss to the Pacers. Jordan Clarkson had a team-high 22 points and 10 boards and Julius Randle also had a double-double with 11 and 12.
Kobe once said Randle was like “Lamar Odom in a Zach Randolph body” and on this play, the birthday boy showed what Kobe meant when he got a rebound, dribbled past 2 defenders, did a little hesitation move and then dunked past the other 3 Pacers.
The play reminded me of one of my favorite Shawn Kemp coast-to-coast dunks ever – which just happened to be against the Lakers.
