Julius Randle broke the Grizzlies record of 177 games (longest in the NBA) preventing a player from getting a triple-double with his 19/14/11 performance on Tuesday. It was the 3rd triple-double of his career and makes him just the 6th player this season with multiple triple-doubles – others are Westbrook, Harden, LeBron, Draymond and Giannis.
“He turned into the juggernaut with handles,” Said an always smiling Nick Young after the game.
Everybody from his teammates to opponents like Mike Conley also praised Randle’s performance after the game and they can all thank Coach Luke Walton for it. According to Lakers Nation, Walton pissed off Randle in practice and then called him later that night to see if he was still mad at him. Randle, who said Walton “knows how to push my buttons,” responded with one of his best games of the season.
