UPDATE: THE TWINS NOW PLAY AT UNLV
It was exactly a year ago when the beautiful and talented twin sisters from Highland HS in Idaho, Dakota and Dylan Gonzales, made their Ballislife debut.
At that time, the 6’0 ballers heading for Kansas were battling Kentucky bound Aaron and Andrew Harrison for the title of my favorite twins in basketball. I had a soft spot for the Harrisons because they played high school ball 20 minutes from my house so I got to see them dominate local competition with a lot of plays that left me speechless. I have a soft spot for the Gonzales twins eventhough I have never seen them play because…well, they just leave me speechless.
But let’s go over their first season at Kansas. Dakota averaged 4.4 points and 2 rebounds in 17 minutes per game. Her best game came against Texas Southern when she hit 7 of 10 shots for 18 points in just 19 minutes. Dylan played in just 9 games averaging 3 minutes per game due to injuries and having Hernia surgery.
Hopefully we will be seeing much more of them on and off the court in the near future.
