This interception on Kevin Durant’s pass wasn’t as impressive as his backhanded interception in GM4, but the big defensive play led to a big (should have been an and-1) dunk over Russell Westbrook, putting the Spurs up by 6 with 4 minutes left in regulation. Being Kawhi is Kawhi, he didn’t celebrate the great play….wait a minute, he sort of celebrated with a quick baby yell.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t have a bigger celebration 4 minutes later because Westbrook, being Westbrook, took over the remaining minutes and led the Thunder to a 4 point victory.
Leonard finished with 26 points (15 in the 2nd), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals and this block on KD, which wasn’t counted as a block in the boxscores.
