Kelly Oubre was 2 boards shy of another double double on Sunday after racking up 20 & 10 in his NBA debut.
Against a team full of some of the best talent in the D-League, the 19 year old Oubre scored 18 points but struggled with his shot going 5 of 17 from the floor and 0-5 from 3. He also had 6 fouls and 3 turnovers without an assist in the 20 point loss. But don’t think 1 bad shooting performance will hurt Oubre’s confidence.
“I know I can shoot,” Oubre said. “I have 100 percent confidence in my shot.”
When asked by a reporter where his much talked about confidence comes from, Oubre replied,
“Just knowing what I can do. And hard work — I work my butt off.”
