The 1st annual EBC Rucker Park Celebrity Challenge went down this past weekend at the Barclays Center.  An A-list group of hip-hop celebs including LL Cool J, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, French Montana, Uncle L, Busta, Jadakiss and Teyana Taylor (you know you want to watch it one more time) came out to watch, perform, or coach, a group of streetballers and pro players in a 3-game showdown.  Notable players included Austin Daye, Jarret Jack, Jordan Hamilton, Nolan Smith, Marcus Williams, Erving Walker and Scotty Hopson.

Team DMV, lead by Jarret Jack and coached by Wale, came out victorious over Team NY.

Although Kevin Durant was on some of the marketing materials, he, along with other advetised players like John Wall, Kemba Walker, Lance Stephenson, Brandon Jennings and Nick Young did not play or show up, but the packed crowd seemed to have a great time.  I’m looking forward to seeing the event next year.
