Kendrick Lamar and his TDE Crew killed the Bet Hip hop awards cyhper last night. Absoul, Jay Rock, and School Boy Q proved why they are some of hip hops dopest lyricist. Its scary that all these rappers are all on the same team. The TDE alliance was put together by Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith and Terrance “Punch Henderson. The two entrepreneurs founded the label back in 1997 and signed there first artist (Jay Rock) in 2003. Shorty after they discovered 16 year old K.Dot who had just released a hot mixtape for the streets. Kendrick quickly became a local celebrity and gained notoriety as one of the illest in the west. A few years Later Carson native Ab Soul and South Central’s very own School Boy Q joined the team. Their latest member Isiah Rashad was added to the crew earlier this year. Even though these guys have been rapping for quite some time it took a minute for them to get the recognition they deserve. For a while their deep metaphors and creative vanity flows were not accepted in the rap gong. This was around the time were every artist was just out to make a hit single and south was taking over. Now that hip hop is back to its natural roots of confrontational lyrics and actual bars, these artist shine above all. Check out some of their previous freestyles and cyphers that led up to this BET massacre.
