Kenneth Faried seems to always find a way to get the last laugh. Earlier in the week, the Manimal accidentally scored on his own basket but then out ran everybody on the court and scored for his team within just 3 seconds.
Last night during the first quarter vs the Thunder, Kenneth became Kevin Durant’s latest victim of an ankle breaker and jumper in his face. That didn’t get him down (mentally because the ankle breaker did physically get him down).
Then in the 2nd quarter, Faried became a victim of Reggie Jackson, when Reggie drove down the middle and threw down a vicious dunk over Kenneth. That didn’t get him down.
As nice as the ankle breaker and poster were by the two leading scorers for OKC, Denver was building a highlight film from 3 point land and made 14 of 31 3-pointers and outscored the Thunder 29-15 in the 3rd quarter. Then when the final buzzer went off in the 4th, Kenneth Faried and the Nuggets had a 13 point victory over Durant, Jackson and the Westbrook-less Thunder.
Faried was smiling in the locker room…even with a broken ankle.
