10 days after watching Danilo Gallinari go down with a torn ACL, the Nuggets had to watch Kenneth Faried go down with a left ankle injury in the first few minutes of the Nuggets/Blazers game. Faried landed on the foot of Portland’s Will Barton and after minutes down on the floor he was carried off by teammates to the lockeroom.
Faried is scheduled to have a MRI today and did not fly out with the team to Milwaukee for tonight’s game. He’s listed day-to-day so hopefully we will see him back in time for the playoffs.
“I tried to power up and stepped on Will’s foot when I tried to go,” Faried said. “Just twisted it. I’m relieved it ain’t a break.”
