The Pope show continued in Orlando.  After 2 standout games in the Orlando Summer League, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 26 points, broke some ankles and hit a game winning 3-pointer in his 3rd game.

But things weren’t looking so good for Pope in the first half.  Before breaking a defenders ankle (50 second mark) in the 3rd quarter, he hurt his own ankle in the first half and only connected on 1 of 7 shots.  But he caught fire in the 2nd half scoring 24 points and 6 in the final 15 seconds including the game winner.

“I like what I’ve seen so far,” Stan Van Gundy, Pistons’ president of basketball operations and head coach, said. “What I really like — besides, obviously, he’s putting up big numbers — but to me, what is more important is he is playing at a very high intensity level, bringing great energy, and doing a lot of other things.
