21 points and season-highs of 11 rebounds and 8 assists sounds like a good day at work for Kevin Durant. It sounds even better when you say he went home early and only had to put in 28 minutes of work in the Thunder’s 127-99 win over the Orlando Magic.

“We started the game with a lot of energy, a lot of effort, the defense was good and we passed the ball really well tonight,” Durant said. “Everybody touched the ball. … We were aggressive attacking the rim and we found the open jump-shooters. We can’t look too far down the road; we’re always worried about today.”

That lots of energy they started with resulted in a 79 point first half which is the most the franchise has scored since 1993.

KD’s last triple double came back in March 9th of 2014 when he put up 27/10/12 in a loss to the Lakers.
