Give me the ball! Pass the rock! I’m open! I promise i’ll hit this one! Screw it. Nevermind. Airball…that’s what you get.
In Westbrook’s defense, KD couldn’t buy a bucket and if it wasn’t for his layup with 3 minutes left in the game, Durant would have been in single digits for the first time since 2009. But luckily they were playing Philly so he didn’t need to put up big numbers especially since Westbrook was on fire and according to Durant was showing Michael Carter-Williams who the best was.
“Young dudes in this league tend to bark a lot,” Durant said about MCW & Westbrook’s battle. “I think he put him in his place and let him know who the best point guard in the league is .”
Westbrook scored a game-high 27 points and made 8 of his 14 shots from the field and was 10 of 14 from the free throw line. He also had 7 assists so that’s proof that he was willing to pass the ball – just not on this hilarious play.
As for MCW, he put up an impressive 16 points, 14 assists and 7 rebounds in a losing effort.
