The worst thing you can do when you get embarrassed on defense is to try to go at the guy on the next play and force a bad shot..unless you are a superstar like Kobe, LeBron or Durant. Next worse thing you do is get embarrassed on offense, like having your shot blocked, and then try to make up for it and get overly aggressive on defense and try to block a shot you should of just let go, like trying to block a Kevin Durant dunk.
That’s what happened to Josh Smith last night after he had his shot blocked twice by Durant and then tried to make up for it by attempting to block Durant’s dunk but only ended up smacking him in the face. In Josh’s defense, he’s a master on defense when it comes to blocking dunks. You can ask Bradley Beal that felt the pain, literally, of a Smith block.
