Kevin Garnett’s 1st 20-Point Game Came Against Jordan & the 72-10 Bulls
It took two and a half months for the straight outta high school rookie to get his first 20-point game, and it couldn’t have came against a better team: On February 27th of 1996, Kevin Garnett had 20 points and 8 rebounds against Michael Jordan and the 72-10 Bulls. “Da Kid” connected on 10 of 16 shots, had three steals and a couple of highlight dunks in his breakout performance.
Despite 20 by him and another 20 by Isaiah Rider, the Wolves still took a 21-point L thanks to 35 from his Airness and a 24-rebound performance from the Worm.
KG would have four more 20-point games during his rookie campaign, which included a season-high 33 vs the Celtics.
