Top 10 senior in the country Kevin Knox had Holliday Gymnasium buzzing on Day 1 of the John Wall Holiday Invitational as he led all scorers with 38 points, but it was his last basket that would be the most memorable. After seeing themselves trail for a majority of the game, Tampa Catholic finally took the lead in the last minute of the game before Kyle Gensler hit the go-ahead 3 pointer with 15 seconds left in regulation. After a missed attempt by Tampa Catholic, Gensler found himself at the line once again to try and seal the deal. Unfortunately, after hitting the first free throw to put the Imps ahead by 2, Gensler's second attempt came off the rim as Knox dribbled from 3-point line to 3-point line and banked in the game-winner as time expires. Tampa Catholic will advance to the next round of the John Wall Holiday Invitational to face the winner of Thornlea/J.M.Robinson.
