Rug Burn: A rug or friction burn is a form of abrasion caused by friction when a person’s skin rubs against a surface.  As the phase is commonly used, it refers to injuries acquired during spontaneous recreational sexual activity on the floor or carpet

A basketball gym floor isn’t as common as a bedroom floor when it comes to rug burn “injuries” but this kid has proof it can happen as his knee skidded a few inches across the floor while trying to defend a crossover.
