92 points, 23 rebounds, 14 assists, 7 steals and 6 blocks. That’s the damage the Kings big 3 of Gay, Thomas and Cousins did against the Nuggets on Sunday.
Most of the damage in the 109-95 win for the Kings came in the 3rd quarter when they outscored the Nuggets 39-18.
“I wouldn’t say it was the best quarter we put together all year but it was pretty good,” Gay said.
Thomas, who lead the Kings with 33 added,
“The third quarter kind of dictated the game. We were getting stops and we got out and ran. That’s when we’re at our best, when we’re in transition. We were in attack mode. Rudy started it off, DeMarcus got easy buckets and I just got what they gave me. I was making open shots. We played a helluva third quarter.”
Rudy Gay had a double double and the best dunks of the night including this coast-to-coast dunk on Timofey Mozgov.
