Carmelo and his torn labrum in his right shoulder sat out Tuesday’s dunkathon between the Knicks and Nets. His Knicks did come out victorious giving them city bragging rights but it was Paul Pierce, who became the 6th player in NBA history to score 1k points in 15 straight seasons, and his Nets that will be moving on to the playoffs and competing for a NBA championship.
The Nets also wore grey Brooklyn Dodger inspired jerseys in honor of Jackie Robinson.
