Here’s a typical Kobe “legendary” story. Back in 1999 during the first quarter or the first exhibition game, Kobe’s hand was broken from an errant elbow. Not only did Kobe not realize it was broken until the next day but he played the rest of the game and racked up 18 points 5 assists and 4 steals.
During the time he sat out with a broken hand, Kobe appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated, TV Guide and Slam Magazine. He also made a cameo appearance in the Destiny’s Child video “Bug A Boo” as he was busy off the court promoting his upcoming album “Visions” that never did come out.
If you are a Kobe fanatic with money to burn and want to own a piece of rare memorabilia from this time period then click on this link and buy it for $6,999,00 (the shipping is free!).
