“I don’t know what I can and can’t do. I’m just trying to measure it. I didn’t know if I could drive to the basket. Every game has been like that.” – Kobe
What Kobe did last night was 21 points, 8 assists, 7 rebounds, shoot over 50% and hit clutch layups and free throws in the 4th quarter to help the Lakers win their first game with their franchise player back in the lineup. Normally a Lakers win against the Bobcats wouldn’t be that big of a deal and 21 points for Kobe wouldn’t be much to brag about but after 3 straight losses with Bryant averaging 11 points a game, this was a big win for the Lakers and Kobe.
“You always miss those moments, particularly on the road. It’s always fun to close a team out down the stretch.”
– Kobe Bryant
