I’m sure you have seen the ESPN Power ranking list that has 39 (yes 39!) players in front of Kobe Bryant. Kobe was asked about the ranking yesterday and responded by saying “I’ve known for a long time they are a bunch of idiots.” When asked if he would use this list as motivation, Kobe said “I tend to use things of motivation that tend to be in the realm of reality” and then said the list and last years list (#25 ranking) don’t matter and he’s going to go out and do what he does.
What he did last night was score 27 points in 28 minutes vs the Jazz.
Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless also talked about Kobe’s insulting spot on the list and Stephen A said “It’s moments like this when I wouldn’t blame Kobe Bryant for never talking to ESPN again.”
