It was nice seeing 37 year old Kobe flirt with a triple double (17/9/8).  It was nice seeing him get a standing ovation from the Staples crowd as he walked to the bench knowing the Lakers were going to pull off their 2nd win of the season. But the best moment of the game came with 3:44 to play when he hit a big 3 and then gave some dap to 3 guys sitting at midcourt.  Those 3 guys – Anthony Sadler, Spencer Stone and Alek Skarlatos – are 3 childhood friends who became heroes back in August when they stopped an attempted terrorist attack on a train in Paris.

“That was a great moment,” Bryant said about celebrating with the 3. “They were encouraging me all game. I figured I’d get one to sit down and make sure I’d dap them up.”

Anthony Sadler wore the exact same Lakers t-shirt he was wearing on the train that day.

“I was born in 1992. Kobe came in ’97 and from there it was over,” Sadler said. “That’s my favorite player and we just got to meet him. I’m star-struck right now.”

The 3 were also honored by the Lakers with custom jerseys and a win.
