On a night when a 1 foot Kobe Bryant barely missed a triple double and dished out a season high 14 assists, Kobe moved ahead of Wilt Chamberlain on the NBA All Time Scoring List to slot #4 trailing only Kareem, The Mailman an MJ.  The historic moment came early in the 2nd quarter when Kobe scored 2 of his 19 points on a jumper over King’s John Salmons.

Growing up in Philly, Kobe actually met Wilt the 76ers and Lakers legend when he was just 8 years old and said the first thing he thought of was he was meeting ‘Bombata’ from Conan the Barbarian and that “he was just a warm-hearted gentleman.”  Not to be Mr Pop Culture on him but Wilt was in the Conan sequel Conan The Destroyer not Barbarian.

Regardless of what number in the Conan franchise Wilt was in, the only number that means something right now is 4 until Kobe passes 23 to get to 3.
