“He looks better and better,” said Coach Byron Scott after Kobe Bryant scored 21 points in 19 minutes on Sunday against Israel’s Maccabi Haifa. “His timing looks great, his movement looks great, and he just looks so much more fluid right now. He says he feels great, so right now we’ll keep staying the course.”

Despite turning the ball over 22 times (8 more than Maccabi), the Lakers won by 43 (126-83) and kept the opposing team under 20 points for 2 quarters. The Lakers also had 7 players in double figures – led by Bryant’s team-high of 21 in the least amount of minutes of all the players who scored in double figures.

The one shining bright spot for Maccabi was reserve Reginald Buckner who made 7 of 8 shots and finished with 20 points in 19 minutes.
