When I saw Kobe Bryant refuse to settle on a tie in a high school dunk contest with Lester Earl I said to myself maybe this kid is one to look out for in the future. When I heard Jerry West tell ESPN that Kobe Bryant will be able to find his shot whenever he wants in the NBA, I thought this kid might really be the real deal. Then when I saw his first rookie cards displayed on a dealers table at a card show in Tallahassee Florida the day after watching him throw down a dunk in an exhibition game against Philly, I thought maybe I should buy this card as well as every Kobe rookie card I can find because this kid is worth investing in.
I did and have been running with him ever since. I just hope that maybe, more players will hear his words and do the same.
