Down by 3 with less than 3 seconds left, Ricky Rubio took a running near half court three point shot attempt to put the game against LA into OT and was hit on the arm by Kobe. To nobodies surprise with the exception of Rubio, coach and teammates, the refs did not call the foul on Kobe. Did the refs miss the contact or just pull a Sweet Brown? Vino’s response was,
“That’s not a foul. They ain’t calling that shit”
“We would have gone into overtime and won the game. It’s as simple as that.”

A depressed Rubio with a towel over his head had this to say about the way the game ended,
“I hate to lose. I hate it. Sometimes, it’s tough when you give everything and something like that happens. But just keep going through. It’s tough. It’s tough.”
Whether it was a foul or not, it was a good day in LA. The Lakers are still in the playoff race and the Heat’s race to the Lakers win streak is over.
It was also a good day for Dwight Howard who joined Shaq, David Robinson and Hakeem as the only player to have a 25+ pts 15+ rebs 5+ blks 5+ stls game in the last 25 years.
