“I have so much appreciation for the game. If this is the last time, I’m fine with that,” said Kobe Bryant after scoring 18 points in the Lakers first win of the season against the win-less Nets. “I feel at peace with that.”

The Brooklyn fans actually cheered for Bryant throughout the night and were treated to 1 vintage Mamba move in the 4th quarter when he went baseline and made a reverse layup around Brook Lopez.
