If you watch the highlights and see that Kobe (back to the clear mask) scored 30 points you would think he had a great game.  If you dig deeper into the boxscore or watch the game you will see that Kobe only hit 9 out of 31 shots.

So how bad are those apples?   A player hitting less than 9 shots by attempting atleast 31 has only happened 10 times in NBA history.  Two of those times were by Kobe Bryant.   In 2005 he 9 of 33 and back in 2000 he hit 8 of 31.   That’s a lot of missed shots but not as bad as Jerry Stackhouse attempting 34 shots and only hitting 7 back in 2001 against the Cavs.

The other players to pull of this piece of trivia are Iverson, Michael Adams, KG, Dominique, Dennis Scott (who also went 0-7 from 3 in his game) and Nick Anderson.
