Rookie of the year candidate Kristaps Porzingis hit another milestone on Tuesday. It happened late in the 4th quarter of the Knicks victory against the Hawks. No, it wasn’t his first game winner – still waiting for that one since his game-winning 3 against the Hornets in November was waived off. The milestone was his first NBA technical! The Tech virgin popped his cherry and got whistled for it after he exchanged some chest bumps and stares with Kent Bazemore.
“It was the heat of the moment,” Bazemore said. “A lot of guys competing. A lot of fire out there.”
Porzingis also had his 13th double double of the season with 17 points and 11 boards.
