“We,” said Kyrie Irving, “are the Big 3. We have really great players on this team, but we set the tone.”
Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 30 points in his postseason debut, LeBron added 20 in his 1st postseason game with the Cavs in 5 years and Love scored double-doubled with 19 and 12 as the Cavs beat the Celtics 113-100 in GM1.
Irving made 5 of the Cavs 13 3-pointers including a buzzer beating 3 over Evan Turner before the half.
Unlike Kyrie, Kevin Love started the half slowly only hitting 2 of his 11 shots but scored 13 points in the 2nd half.
“They were phenomenal,” said LeBron about the play of Irving and Love. “Those two guys, they succeeded for the first time being in the postseason.”
