You know you can shoot when you turn around after shooting it knowing it’s going to be nothing but net. That’s what Kyrie Irving was doing during a practice shootout with USA teammate James Harden. Irving had that Bird shooting the moneyball in the NBA 3-point contest feeling on every shot.
Watching this also reminded me of the time Irving challenged Kobe during a 2012 USA practice to a game of 1-on-1 for $50k. Kobe, being Kobe, let the youngblood know he was making a mistake.
“But I know your dad don’t think you can beat me 1 on 1. Get your dad on the phone right now. Be like Pops, I’m trying to bet Kobe 50 grand I can beat him 1 on 1. He’ll be like, Son, are you crazy? Are you crazy?”
