LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard combined for an insane 77 points, 27 rebounds and 7 assists in the Blazers’ controversial 122-120 victory over the Houston Rockets on Sunday.
Aldridge scored a franchise playoff-record 46 points before fouling out late in OT but Damian Lillard, in his first playoff game, was able to close it out 31 points and some clutch free throws.
“When you’ve got your best player playing like that, it fires you up,” Lillard said. “When he went out of the game, I felt like our team … had to have L.A.’s back and come through for him.”
The last NBA player to scores atleast 46 and grab 18 boards in a road win was Elgin Baylor back in 1962 when he had…62 & 22!
