Does the name LaQuavius Cotton sound familiar? If you said yes then that means you follow Delta State basketball or you were thinking of D’Squarius or Javaris Jamar Javerison-Lamar from the famous Key and Peele sketch above.

The fighting Okra with a standout name had a standout performance last night as he won the College Slam Dunk Contest against Tekele Cotton, Keifer Sykes and Shaq McKissic.

His first standout dunk was a powerful 1 hand slam over Alex Barlow.

And here’s his semi-finals dunk.

The finals was pretty disappointing as Cotton couldn’t convert a between the legs dunk and Sykes never even made a dunk, but it’s all good because we now know a LaQuavius exists and he’s a pretty bad ass dunker.

Now I just need to see a Xmus Jaxon Flaxon-Waxon win a 3-point contest.

Congrats again LaQuavius – you know we are just playing.
