Up by 5 with seconds left in the first quarter, LeBron James broke Thabo Sefolosha’s ankles and then made an assist off a Matthew Dellavedova 3. As embarrassing as that play was for Thabo and the Hawks, it’s nowhere near as embarrassing as the Cavs getting outscored 89-48 by the Hawk who were playing without leading scorer Jeff Teague.
“That was embarrassing, how we played,” said Coach Blatt. “I apologize to all the good fans who came out here. Really, just a poor, poor performance.”
The 29 point loss was the 3rd worst home loss in LeBron’s career and he only scored 21 points to go with 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Now that’s heartbreaking.
