LeBron Says This Has Been One Of The Most Challenging Seasons Of His Career After Loss To Wizards
LeBron was a game-time decision against the Wizards on Saturday with an eye injury. He decided to give it a go with some goggles and after a few frustrating minutes in the opening quarter, that saw the Wizards outscore the Cavs 40-26, he tossed them off his head.
“I missed a couple of shots and I was like, `The hell with those things,” Said James, who finished the game with 24 points, 11 boards and 8 assists.
His offense got better without the goggles but the team’s defense had no answer for the back court of John Wall (37 points & 11 assists) and Bradley Beal (27 points) and ended up with a 127-115 loss.
After the game, a fairly upbeat LeBron said this has been one of the most challenging seasons of his career due to all of the injuries and line-up changes.
The Cavs defense was awful on Saturday, giving up 70 points in the first half and hasn’t been anything to brag about for much of this season. And one of those reasons has been the defense of LeBron James, who arguably was the best defensive player in the league for a few recent seasons.
On a recent episode of ESPN’s ‘The Jump,’ Brian Windhorst talked about how “horrific” LeBron’s defense has been this season.
