Two words and a question mark by the King and that spawned over 16k tweets and 11k favorites on Twitter.   Those two words were “Dunk contest” and as you know the world has been waiting for LeBron to enter the dunk contest for years and he’s always been wishy washy about it but in the end always declines.

For the past 3 years, he has been judging the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown (the best dunk contest at all-star weekend) but there’s no Showdown to judge this year…but there’s also not going to be a LeBron dunk contest performance either.

When he tweeted his question one of the responses came from last year’s Showdown champion Kenny Dobbs who offered some consulting to the King.  I don’t know if LeBron saw this but i’m pretty sure the combination of LeBron’s athletic ability and Kenny Dobbs technique would equal a legendary performance.

For those that don’t remember, here’s LeBron declaring that he will be in the 2010 dunk contest.
