LeBron’s Top 10 Sneaker Moments
It was a little more than 10 years ago (May 22nd 2003) when a fresh out of high school kid named LeBron James signed a 7-year, $90 million contract with Nike before stepping onto a NBA court. Although the chosen one was seen as a sure shot on the court, there was no guarantee that he would become a sure shot marketable personality worth $100 million off of it.
So those numbers shocked everybody including Kobe Bryant who just left Adidas and was looking for a new shoe company. According to Slate, “Kobe’s asking price was outrageous—and he allegedly demanded his wife have a hand in designing his signature shoe.”
Kobe would eventually get his Nike deal and LeBron would eventually join Kobe as NBA Champions while both have been making tens of millions from swoosh family that has put out some pretty nice Kicks of the NBA stars. KicksOnFire.com put together this nice list of LeBron’s “Top 10 Nike Sneaker Moments” and you can preview a couple of the sneakers here but will need to head over there to see the full gallery and read the story behind each.
