Defending LeBron is almost pointless. I mean that on and off the court. As the Warriors are trying to do their best to defend him in the NBA Finals, his barber, Nike Castemanos, is defending him and his hairline in an interview with Marc J. Spears.
"There is no dye. No additives. No preservatives," said Castemanos. "Everyone thinks he's dying his hair using [temporary hair colorings] Bigen or Black Ice. It's all his hair. They still don't believe me. I get Bigen comments all the time.
"I've become numb to it. It used to bother me. It's not easy to hear that."
No stranger to celebs, Castemanos has worked on the heads of everybody from Kobe Bryant to Spike Lee to Dwyane Wade in the past 15 years. He started cutting LeBron's hair back in October of 2010 when Wade referred him. And just like a few other people during LeBron's time in Miami, James asked Castemanos to come with him to Cleveland before this season. He was hesitant at first, but eventually made the decision to leave the beautiful weather in Miami for the not so appealing weather in Cleveland.
Now he's cutting the hair of almost every Cavs player with the exception of Joe Harris and Delly - what a surprise.

Not surprising is James is his toughest gig.
"LeBron is very tedious about how his hair is cut," said Castemanos. "The beard is the No. 1 thing. He leaves the top up to me. I leave him less bald. He's my guy.
"He's my hardest haircut. He has good hair. You have to cut it right. He just has a few fat patches around the chin that you have to take your time with. You have to have patience. It usually takes about 50 minutes."
If cutting LeBron's hair is such a challenge then GM5 is going to be even more of a challenge because he's going to have to cut around that big cut in James' head from GM4.
I'm sure Castemanos will find a way to get it done and I also believe LeBron will do the same against the Warriors.
