“Shoot the f****g ball”

That’s what Kobe was yelling at LeBron at the end of the NBA AllStar game after watching the King hit numerous near impossible shots in the 4th quarter and now having a chance to play hero. LeBron instead turned into Robin looking for a Batman and there was no Batman to be found.

At the end of last night’s Heat vs Jazz game I could just see the masked Kobe yelling the same thing at LeBron who started a furious 4th quarter comeback and finished with 35pts, 10reb, 6ast, 3blk 0 turnovers but decided to let the game winning shot be made or missed by Udonis Haslem instead of himself.

I’m not going to criticize LeBron for making the extra play but I will say he’s not going to end up in our “Smart Play of the Day” segments with last second decisions like this.

“I just try to make the right plays and do what it takes to win basketball games. At the end of the day, games are not lost on one shot at the end or me not taking a shot, but I know the chatter will begin. I wanted that game as bad as anyone else on that floor.”
–Heat forward James on how he’ll be second-guessed after passing to Haslem.
