LaVar Ball told you LiAngelo Ball was going to be playing with his brother in Los Angeles. And it happened…sort of.
On Thursday night, Gelo made his Los Angeles debut in the JBA league with brother Melo on his side. Lonzo was there, watching the game with his Laker teammate Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. YouTuber and Ball family fanatic Oprah Sideverson was also one of the reported “2,000 people” in attendance to watch Gelo put up a 53-point, triple-double (53/10/10) in the 171-140 victory over Philly. The 53 (21 in the 1st quarter) came on 24-of-42 shooting but he missed 14 of his 18 three-point attempts.
As expected, Melo also put up some gaudy numbers in the defensive-minded league: 25 points, 19 assists, 17 rebounds.
