I couldn’t agree with Peter Rosenberg any more. Whatever status Lil Wayne was heading towards a few years ago he is quickly falling downhill and away from the level where a Jay-Z and other hip hop legends stand. My opinions on Wayne obviously is not that of everybody else at Ballislife and probably the opposite of many fans of Ballislife but I’ve never been a fan or considered Wayne a great rapper let alone a Top 5, 10 or even 20. So watching him beg for attention by blaming NBA players and teams for “banning” him from games and asking a bunch of kids and groupies to yell “fuck LeBron” or by telling the public which current basketball wives you had sex with years ago is just immature, pathetic and desperate.
According to sources close to LeBron, Wayne has been obsessive and desperate to have that relationship that Jay-Z has had with LeBron over the years and hurt that LeBron is always respectfully declining.
“LeBron is extremely busy, he respects Lil Wayne and his peers in the entertainment industry, but he just doesn’t like to be bothered like that” says the source who also says Wayne’s obsession is at the level of “stalking status”
LeBron hasn’t commented to the public on the Lil Wayne drama but he did tweet out this pic that we may or may not be reading too much into.
