After Damian Lillard dropped 51 on Steph Curry and the Warriors earlier in the month, Golden State’s coach Steve Kerr insultingly said, “He looked like Steph Curry out there.”

After Sunday night’s 33 point performance vs the Pacers, which included 20 points and 3 consecutive 3-pointers in the first quarter, Indiana’s coach Frank Vogel had a similar compliment/insult by saying Lillard is playing close to the same level as Curry.

“I don’t impersonate anybody, I was being Damian Lillard,” he said. “I’ve been just trying to come out and be in attack mode and set the tone from the start of games. It’s just been necessary to go out there and be in attack mode and get our team in that aggressive mindset.”

Lillard’s 33 is his 5th straight game with 30+ and 7th time in his past 8 games.
