Lonzo Ball Wears Kobe Shoes, Has Best Performance In The Summer League

Lonzo Ball not only played on Wednesday night against the Markelle-less 76ers, he had arguably the best performance of the Summer League: His 36 points was one short of Donovan Mitchell's 37; His 11 assists pushed his league leading average to nine; His eight boards left him two short of having the second triple-double in three games while no other player has had one; His five steals matched Jayson Tatum's summer league high; He knocked down over 50% (12 of 22) of his shots despite missing 7 of 10 from three; He also chipped in with two blocks in the one-point playoff victory. I know it's "just a Summer League game" but the last Lakers to put up 30 points, 10 assists, five boards and thefts in a game was Magic Johnson way back around Christmas of 1987 and the last Laker to put up 30 and 10 assists was Kobe Bryant back in 2014.

Speaking of Kobe, he was actually trending with Lonzo since the Big Baller Brand athlete was wearing the Kobe AD shoes instead of his $500 signature ZO2s. When asked about it by NBA's David Aldridge, Ball said, "When you're a big baller, you can wear whatever you want." He also said it was "Mamba mentality" and thought he would "switch it up."

One fan of the sight of Nike shoes on Ball's feet was LeBron James, who was in attendance and posted this video to his Instagram.

Just. Do. It
