“Markelle’s a great player, but I feel I’m better than him. I think I can lead a team better than him. Obviously he’s a great scorer — he’s a great player, so I’m not taking that away from him.”
LaVar is that you?
I’m kidding! But, when you are a potential #1 pick in a stocked NBA draft, you should believe you are better than any and every other player in your class and you should be able to go on to ESPN, while wearing your family’s brand, while trying not to stare too hard at the lovely Cari Champion, and say with a dead a$$ serious face you are the best and want to be the best ever. Now, I’m not so sure every GM feels Lonzo Ball is worthy of the #1 pick over Washington’s Markelle Fultz but I’ve heard some good arguments from people like Bill Simmons on why Ball should be the top pick and how he can fit in with any team in the league.
With that said, the #1 pick will probably be Markelle Fultz.

“If you got a kid that makes everybody better, you mean to tell me you wouldn’t take him over a guy that’s averaging 40 points but the team’s losing?? If you wanna winner, you pick my boy.”
