Lonzo Ball Triple & Quardruple-Double Compilation From HS To The NBA
If you just went by social media and media headlines, you would think the Lakers Lonzo Ball is trash and a draft bust after he missed 13 of his 15 shots in his Summer League debut; If you just went by social media and media headlines, you would think the Lakers Lonzo Ball really is the next Magic Johnson and as good as LaVar Ball says he is after he put up a triple-double of 11/11/11 against Jayson Tatum and the Celtics less than 24 hours later.
The reality is it’s two games (and losses) in a league that former Laker Adam Morrison once dominated so what happens in Vegas (Summer League) pretty much stays in Vegas. With that said, Ball is 7 for 28 from the field and 2 for 16 from three after two games, which is pretty awful. But, Brandon Ingram was 0 for 5 in his first NBA preseason game and 5 for 21 after his first four games so Lakers fans are used to seeing their #2 draft picks struggle with their shots at the beginning of what will probably be a very successful career.
The triple-double was Ball’s first since high school, where he averaged 24 points, 11.3 boards, 11.5 assists and 5.1 steals a game as a senior and 24/11/9 as a junior. So let’s look back at a few of those triple-double and his near triple-doubles at UCLA debut.
